  4. Thanks. That is some post. I checked the links in that post and found out 2 types of contrast glass for color from tiffen. #2 viewer is for film speeds to 100; #3 is for faster film. They can be used for video, as well, with the #3 being better suited for lower light levels. I am a direction student so got confused in this. I know we used film of speed 160T for our super 16mm exercises. Shall I go for #3 glass type Thanks
  5. Hi - I have seen some camera assistants checking the lighting contrast using some lens. Its looks like a magnification lens but when you look through it, it tells you how exactly the contrast between dark and bright will look in film. Can anyone tell me whats it called? Thanks
  6. Hi - Could someone help me understand what will be the difference betweeb buying a director viewfinder and 18-200mm Nikkor lens? 7. Hi - I shot my first assignment on super 16mm sr2 today. I found out that I need to learn lot more on relation between type of stock/lights/filters used. Eg. for Tungsten balanced film, I am shooting in exterior and I want the look of film to have grey/blue tone, what should I do? What I am looking for is basic knowledge on how the selection of one type impact things overall? What If I had only HMI lights or only tungsten lights and still I wanted same look? My cinematographer did had knowledge on this but I would still like to have some basic knowledge of it too so that I can communicate better. Can someone help me to some links on net where I can get basic knowledge on all this? Thanks.

Q1 - If I have low light conditions, how these 3 should be used? Q2 - If I have burnout issue, then what should be way to go? Q3 - If my BG is burning out and FG is low lit, then how can i go about it? I want to know how these 3 work...how does one affect the other? Hope you got what I am tryin to say... Thanks
