This has been mentioned quite a lot. However, what I haven't seen any mention of is: how many people are using the mains adapter to power the Red? Any problems, such as mains hum, etc?

I probably should have added: UK based!

There are several companies who offer to transfer Super8 to DVD, but is there anywhere that scans it to a better quality, such as DV or HDV ? What is the typical cost? I would like to edit some footage shot in Super8 using an NLE.
