I am trying to learn how to import single frames from RED footage as still images into Adobe Photoshop.

When I need single frames, I use either RedCine (free download from red.com) or Adobe Premiere CS4.01

The other thing is that the RED is power hungry, so make sure you have enough batteries.

This has been mentioned quite a lot.

However, what I haven't seen any mention of is: how many people are using the mains adapter to power the Red?

Any problems, such as mains hum, etc?

I probably should have added: UK based!

There are several companies who offer to transfer Super8 to DVD, but is there anywhere that scans it to a better quality, such as DV or HDV ?

What is the typical cost?

I would like to edit some footage shot in Super8 using an NLE.
