  1. Hey guys. I know this topic has probably been covered sometime in the past but I can't find it. I am shooting a short film. It's supposed to take place in the dead of night in the woods. I have done day for night shooting before but it didn't turn out all that great. I have more experience and a better camera now. I have a Canon XH A1 HDV Camera. I have access to as many lights as I need, but none are even that strong. I think the strongest I can get is a 650. So, it seems as if actually shooting at night is out of the question. It's somewhat of a thriller/suspense type movie. Are there any suggestions to make this look realistic enough I can get the audience to jump and not laugh? Thanks!
