  1. This is sort of off-topic but I wasn.t sure where to put it. I am looking to get rid of several [120 or so] betacam sp, digibeta etc. tapes - I am looking for a professional deguassing house that will purchase the tapes and resell them. I am based in NYC, but can ship to LA or practically anywhere. If anyone has any information regarding this kind of service [goole has been so unkind] please let me know. Thanks, Mark.
  2. I know I've beaten this item like a dead horse [sorry for that choice of words to any vegetarians out there] - but I just wanted to leave a quick note that my eBay auction for my Eclair ACL 1.5 ends tonight around 6pm EST. The link is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1 Thank you all, good luck to anyone bidding, and I promise not to post this again! :) Mark.
  3. Okay, I just put it up on eBay - the listing is http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=220070905352 Mark.
  4. No one? I guess I'll put it up on eBay, but I hate how they take a huge part of the sale :(
  5. I'm really through with haggling over prices etc. I'm am just looking to sell my Eclair ACL 1.5 R16 camera very soon - So the first person who makes me a decent offer can take it - I live in NYC and if you do as well, you can come by and look at the kit and see some of the footage I've shot with it over the year and a half or so I've owned it. The package includes Eclair ACL 1.5 body/viewfinder with HD motor [8-75fps; crystal sync on 24 or 25] x2 Eclair ACL 200' magazines [the 400' are available online at ebay etc. and the body can run them because of the HD motor] Ang. 12.5-75mm zoom lens Arri Mattebox [two slots - I think the filters I have - that also go with the package, ND, blue, coral etc. - are 3x3 but the matte box can take a slightly larger filter - not sure what that dimension is] Battery with charger Genuine Pelican waterproof case The package is fully ready to shoot - As I've stated before, I'm moving to the HVX-200 for digital production [actually ordering my camera sometime later this month! :) ] - So anyway, I know I've posted about 5 times over the last year that I'm selling this, but after moving and settling in, I just don't have the space for it anymore [NYC apartments :( ] -- so seriously, the first person with a decent offer, who wants to come by and see it and pick it up can have it - I can ship, but I don't know how you'd want to work the security - I.e. I don't know you, you don't know me - so I'd prefer a pickup, but I can work either way. E-mail me at LiveLikeRiley@gmail.com Thanks for the interest and happy shooting, Mark. Oh, and as a guideline for pricing, I had originally paid around 5,000-ish from DuAll camera in NYC - I was seeking around that price, but found the market is just not there any longer - So I'm cutting my losses - Let me know what you think is fair.
  6. I.ve posted this so many times that you guys must think that something is wrong with the package, but that.s not the case...it.s just that every "serious" buyer that I get ends up backing out of the sale. So I.m posting this again. I.ve come down on price quite a lot, so if that was holding you back before...I originally paid around 5200 for the entire package, but am now looking to sell it for $2500. Anyway, the details are: ACL 1.5 with HD motor [8-75fps], 2x200ft magazines, Angenieux 12.5-75mm zoom lens, Arri Mattebox with 16mm rods, Arri custom handgrip [not the normal ACL handgrip, I custom requested this], Various 3x3 filters [ND etc.], Battery/recharger, and a waterproof Pelican case. The package is complete and ready to shoot [i shot with it just this past March]. Please e-mail me if interested - LiveLikeRiley@gmail.com Thank you, Mark.
  7. Guys, I.ve posted this package before, but no one so far has bought it...perhaps my price is too high [although it is half what I paid a year ago]...but I.ve come to the point where I just really need to get it off my hands so that I can move on with my next camera purchase. So any reasonable offer will not be refused. The package is for an ACL 1.5 body with the HD motor [8-75fps] 2x200ft magazines, ang. 12.5-75mm lens, 15mm rods with Arri Mattebox, battery, random filters [3x3] and pelican case. Please e.mail me if interested: livelikeriley@gmail.com - I have pictures that I can send as well. Thanks so much, Mark.
  8. I posted here a few months back that I was going to be selling my Eclair 1.5 16mm cameara. I ended up not selling it, and haven.t had that much time to re-list etc. as I.ve been in the process of moving - But now I.d like to see if anyone here is interested. It is a french made [mags and all] 1.5 - It has the HD motor that is variable from 8-75fps. Angenieux 12.5-75mm zoom lens - 15mm rod support system with Arri mattebox. 2x 200 ft. magazines, 12v battery and a water tight pelican case to boot[!] - It.s a complete package that I actually just shot on two months ago [i have footage if you.re interested]. I have some pictures of the camera up on my website at: http://web.mac.com/livelikeriley/iWeb/Us/Library.html If you.re interested, please e.mail me at LiveLikeRiley@gmail.com - Please do not PM as I don.t check the message board that often. Anyway, thanks for your time. Mark.
  9. Just a note that my auction ends tonight...I still have 0 bids and would like to sell this camera so I can get my new HD camera [i know, I.m a traitor to film...blah]...anyway, if anyone hasn.t seen it yet, it.s up there for 6 more hours. Mark.
  10. Awesome! Thanks so much for posting the footage, it.s what I was looking for. Mark.
  11. I.m contemplating getting into the digital realm - I.ve been reading a lot about the DVX [or HVX - haven.t decided yet], and am fairly convinced I can get the "film look" with proper lighting and the 35mm lens adapter [any recomendations??? - I prefer static as opposed to oscillating ones...but none that flip the image upside down]. What concerns me, is that most of the footage I see uploaded on the web is static images of flowers, or sunsets etc. from people.s reels....this is not the kind of move I shoot...I do a lot of walking and talking [think early Woody Allen] - does anyone have any DVX [or HVX] footage like this? I want to make sure this camera is up to the job and can make a dialogue film look "film-ic" and not just random images/music videos. Thanks, Mark.
  12. I was trying to sell my Eclair via this site and craigslist, but people would e.mail me and then just not get back to me etc. - so I decided to just put it up on eBay - it.s there right now if anyone wants to bid on it - If you have any questions - livelikeriley@gmail.com http://cgi.ebay.com/Eclair-ACL-1-5-16mm-Fi...1QQcmdZViewItem Mark.
  13. Okay, so let me get this straight...I would shoot 24p Advanced then use cinematools with FCP to remove the pulldown - edit true 24p - then reapply the pulldown [how do you do that????] for export to DVD or back to miniDV? What would happen if I didn.t reapply the pulldown and went to DVD or miniDV...and last question, what if I were going back to film [16 or 35 - this is just hypothetical] would I reapply the pulldown or even remove it in the first place? Sorry, but I.m new to video...I.ve always shot film, but I.m really aching to get off small projects and do a feature, and it is only financially viable if i.m shooting 24p. Thanks, Mark.
  14. I.m looking into picking up this camera and was just curious what the difference in look was with 24p vs. 24P advanced...I know the technical difference, but was curious how this would change the look of the film. Thanks, Mark.
  15. I should know this, but do not...I tried to post it yesterday but it was somehow deleted. If I am using a camera that takes 400' cores, on the take up side, what do i attach the film to? Another core? What size diameter? Etc. Thanks, Mark.
