  5. As some of you may know, I've been a long time Zacuto fan and supporter. Steve and I are good friends and email almost daily nowadays. Not to mention, I like to claim I'm the all-time biggest Zacuto fan! As I hope all of you know, Zacuto has been producing these great video pieces called FilmFellas. The first cast featured Philip Bloom, Peter Hawley, Steve DaDouche, and of course Steve Weiss talking about the industry, web cinematography, and lots more. However, I'm pretty pumped about the new cast... maybe because they're closer to my young age... or maybe because they're on the verge of making it big in the industry. Susan Buice of Four Eyed Monsters fame... Kris Williams of Young American Bodies... and Joe Swanberg of Filmbrats... as well as Steve Weiss start up another great conversation about the "biz" in this new web series. Anyway, if you haven't checked them out already... YOU SHOULD! :) http://www.zacutovideo.com
  6. I wanted to let everyone know that Zacuto has a new webisodic series out called FilmFellas that?s all about issues that relate to indie filmmakers. I think it?s pretty clever and the production rocks. Steve Weiss, the director, has some really interesting guests like Philip Bloom, Joe Swanberg and Susan Buice. This show is a Zacuto production but has nothing to do with Zacuto or any of products, it?s just filmmakers talking about what they have done and issues that are important to them. One big theme I see in FilmFellas is how do I make money as an indie filmmaker, on the big screen, TV or the web? I was talking to Steve, who was a Director (mostly fashion and corporate work) for 20 years prior to starting Zacuto, and he?s told me how he?s been itching to get back into production, his first love, and this is his first endeavor. Steve and I are friends and we?ve been talking for the past year about how he believes the web is really where indie filmmakers should focus on creating an audience and ways to turn that audience into money. Check it out, http://filmfellas.tv cast one, episode one was loaded up yesterday and a new episode comes every two weeks.
