Does anybody have any advice on getting work experience in the industry?
Wheres the best place to apply/look?
I want to eventually become a Director of Photography so im hoping to get some work experience in that department. But i gather thats probly not realistic. Even so, any work experience is good work experience, rite?
Im currently in my second year at York St. John university. Where would i start to look for production comapnies in the area or even in London?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated,
Cheers,

Hi
What about "Hands-on Manual for Cinematographers" by David Samuelson? How does it compare to the ASC Manual? Ultimately, im looking for a book that'll help me learn how to light and film a sequence correctly. For example, how to use a light metre to light a scene or how to wokr out correct focal lengths to use etc.
