  1. I have a Ranger 36 Inovativ camera cart for sale! It was a "floor model", but is pretty much brand new. Reasons you should buy my cart: - Retail: They go for $3,155 in store pick up or $3,230 delivery. But you can buy mine for $2,900! If you can deal with a never-been-used-on-the-field, a couple cosmetic scratches cart, you save $255! Plus, there is a 6 week waiting period for these carts. - Great design: Easy to build, use, and accessorize. I can build and tear down the cart in 28 seconds! - Accessories: Inovativ has a lot of accessories to make your cart pimptastic. They are also compatible with backstage accessories. - Useful: Obviously they are useful. Whether you are a Camera Assistant, Steadicam Op, Sound guy, musician, mechanic, etc. The only reason I'm selling it is to buy a larger Inovativ Cart. I am in love with this company and their product... and you should be to! Feel to email me: MarshallArtsPictures@gmail.com For pictures go to: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sfv/for/4514273829.html
  2. I already knew that balancing a generator would be a difficult task, and I appreciate the lengthy explanation in the post. I think it is crucial to understand everything Guy Holt included. I will still have to do further research to completely understand everything that was said (hands on and in writing), but I appreciate Guy taking the time to write that out for all of us who still needed the knowledge. Since we ventured further into electricity, does anyone know of any good books about being an electrician on set?
  3. Thanks so much to everyone who responded, I really appreciate it. If you fail to balance the generator correctly, what are the negative side effects? Also, when you are striking on or saving the lights, would it be best to do it simultaneously at the source, or turn it off at the generator?
  4. I was recently asked if I knew how to balance a generator, and the answer was "no" because I've never really worked with a generator before. (I'm still a film student) Could someone give me advice on how to go about doing this? Thanks!
