  1. hey folks, i am offered to shoot an independent feature film in south east asia. the project is an action film and we will be using Red. The question is which one. I worked with Red One before i mnow it is good image but i find bit bulky for hand held action camera work. However i haven't used Red Epic or Scarlet before. They seem better for type of work we will do. What are the pros and cons? What would you prefer? Why? Any knowledge, sugestion and information will be highly appreciated. Thank you all for you time in advance
  2. Greetings; Recently, I have been offered to shoot few projects in Vietnam. Projects are as follows 1. Feature film - about two month contract 2. Documentary - likely to be a long term project 3. Telemovie - TBA I have very limited knowledge of industry over there but it is a place that I definitely want to work there. If any of you can give me an insight on conditions and going rates (a ballpark price) it will be greatly appreciated Thanks for your time

  4. Hey Will, First of all thank you. Do you have any idea how much does the HD conversion costs? I am also trying to find quiet Super 8mm cameras as the film has a lot of interiors and dialog. do you have any suggestions? Thanks again E.S
  5. Hi guys & gals, Just a quick question. I will be doing cinematography for a short film in few months. at the moment we are discussing options of shooting it with Super 8mm and convert it to HDV 1080p. In this process as far as quality of the footage goes would Super 8mm deteriorate? If you compared Super 8mm to HDV 1080p which one will provide higher resolution? Thanks in advance E.S

  7. Hi all, I am about to take on a 30 minute film project. Production will have two cameras, a camera operator, two camera assistants and my self as the DoP. Filming will go for 10 days over 2 weeks. Production budget is not big - around $30,000. I am a bit confused about what to charge. What do you say? Any thought and information will be greatly appreciated... Thank you Eduardo
