  1. Canon is spelled incorrectly on the resume, not trying to be a jerk, just pointing it out for your benefit
  2. im trying to find a good/cheap one for time lapse photography. any recommendations?
  3. Looking at picking up a fairly inexpensive, gently used long lens (400mm) for my 7D. It's an FD mount though. I've perused ebay for an adapter (FD to EOS) and there are a few options. Some without glass that seem to be only for Macro shots (infinity focusing is somehow disabled) and others WITH glass, though more expensive but described as being able to focus either way. Basically just wondering if anyone could explain the logic behind this, not that I'm questioning it, I just don't understand. Also, would anyone know the crop factor for an FD mount/lens? cheers
  4. right on, ya we figured, but were hoping not to save some time, lol thanks
  5. Hey gang, just a quick question i've always been taught that when going from an cold EXT to an INT you need to bag the camera for several hours re: condensation or some science/magic. This practice has been for film cameras. I'm assuming this would hold true for the RED, even though it's digital. I've seen people go from EXT to INT with other digi cams like HVX200s and such without any noticeable repercussion, but we're just a bit more concerned because, well, it's the RED. And we're up in Northern Ontario, so yes, it's quite chilly, lol. thanks
  6. the link doesn't work for me, it says 'bad encrypt dictionary' :(
  7. Well, I was able to get the view finder off and get the tap attached. When we went out to a monitor though the image was grey and fuzzy/super soft, almost ghost like. It's a T-bar looking video tap, pretty old as well.
  8. thanks a lot Bernie! I was just heading out to do some prep stuff for the shoot tomorrow and thought I'd check my posting first, I'll giver a try and let you know how it went.
  9. Hi Trying out a video tap for an Arri SRII, but it requires the complete removal of the view finder assembly. I found that using a very small allen key loosened it (via the manual) but it just became very loose and would still would not budge. Anyone have any tips or words of advice? much appreciated
