Hi,
We are going to shoot a feature film on HD for the first time. After taking some suggestions from David and Karl, right here on the forum, I went to my producer and convinced him about shooting HD and bought a couple of books on HD, read them in three days completely. As I am not a pro, I couldn't get the whole hang of it but it looks like HD is gonna takeover film pretty soon. I sent my research notes to my Dp (sorry, forgot to say I'm going to direct the film) who is really excited about shooting HD. The feature is a romantic comedy and we are going to shoot with Panasonic HD Varicam w/ Fujinon Cinestyle lenses(that's the package). As my DP is out of town and we haven't had any discussions yet, I wanna warm up a bit before we sit.
Could you please tell me how you would plan for a low budget romantic comedy (I am looking for a warm look--just like the images below) with simple lighting setups and keeping HD in mind?
What lighting and camera equipment would you take ( it's a single location shoot, mostly interior and a couple of exteriors)?
Could you suggest any movies that fit the above description I can refer to?
Your own Checklist for HD shoots?
Thank you
