Hey everyone, I have a project coming up here that will be shooting on an Arri 35 BL2. The rental house around here just closed down, so I am stuck trying to find places to find some lenses to rent. I'm looking for standard or bayonet mounted primes, which of course are pretty damn hard to find. I'm a student in Colorado, so if anyone has any place, or private owner that might have any sort of lenses that fit the bill, and preferably don't have insane insurance policies, or any way to get around this issue, that would be huge. Hey all, So I have an ARRI 35 BL 2 which currently just has the usual short eyepiece on it. It came with an extension, but I can't seem to figure it out? Any ideas on how to get it on? Cheers! Jacob

Well the rental house that I am looking at (it's the closest) is Denver Film and Video. They have "Zeiss SS 9.5, 12, 16, 25, 50mm "B" mt." listed under 35mm lenses, so I can't say there'd be any confusion there. All the PLs are listed as such, so maybe their website needs to be updated? So a 'B' mount is bayonet then? How much would it be to get the hard front converted? Thanks for the replies. Jacob

Okay, right on. I'm not sure who serviced it last... The previous owner had it serviced just before I got it. Somewhere in LA I believe, but I'm not positive. Its only been used a few times so I never saw the need. The mattebox is your good old fashioned accordion-style mattebox.

Here's the blimp... And I guess it is just a frame controller... I guess I was confused (and sorry if I sounded like a know-it-all prick about the motor, I was told when I bought it that was a crystal motor, so I believed them) So here's the controller... That is my posting -- I just haven't updated it since I moved out here. Never crossed my mind to, I guess.

There is a blimp for the 8mm, I just didn't picture it (though I can throw one up if you want). The motor is just behind the pistol grip, the part with the four screw holes. A crystal controller plugs into that. I can throw more pictures up of whatever you need to see. Just let me know! And I'm in Colorado (Denver area) but I'll ship it anywhere for free if need be.

I bought the camera a while ago when they were still fashionable, and with filters, video tap, lenses, etc... yeah, it comes out to almost 25K over the years.
