  1. Well, that's what I've done now, and for me it isn't working. I might try a bit easier sollution, but so far the problem has been the ampere, not the voltage. I'll try to find something better. Thanks!
  2. I have no external magazines, so I'm guessing the problem is in the batteries. It sucks, but I'll have to buy new ones so I'm looking for some original batteries for this camera. I've looked around quite a bit, but it seems the price is at 500$ and up, so does anyone know where I can get batteries a bit cheaper? I really appreciate all your help, and I'm hoping that I can finally shoot something with this camera if I get a hold of some batteries. Thanks! Frederik
  3. Ok, I'm gonna try to fix or buy new batteries. Just hope the problem isn't in the camera itself..
  4. Nope, it's exactly the same problem. It starts out fine, but slows down. I don't think the voltage is to low, because if I try more than once it doesn't start at all. I'm also having a hard time finding a rental house in Norway. If the problem is in the batteries I'm afraid I won't afford to buy original ones in a while. I can't find anywhere to buy one nearby either.
  5. I've parallell wired two 1700 mAh batteries, so that makes 3400 mAh.. The charger doesn't have that much mAh, but I've heard that as long as I charge it for a longer time it should work. Both the batteries are brand new, so it would be weird if they were bad. Frederik
  6. I hate time, but I've finally had enough to fix a bit more. I've managed to charge the batteries for a few hours, but once I fire up the camera, it stays at 24 fps for a couple of seconds, and then slowly fades out. Could there be some circuit error inside the camera that drains the battery extra fast? Thanks alot!
  7. Ok, so I got another 7,2V battery today, and got help parallell wiring these two completely similar batteries. So thats plus on plus, and minus on minus, using a three pin XLR with one pin left over.. We tested it in the voltage meter and it showed around 6,3V, however not steady at all. And nothing happens at all when I plug it into the camera. It worked a little with one battery, but not at all with two of them. We've also checked all connections and they're all in shape, no bad contacts. What could possibly be the problem? Thanks for your help! -Frederik
  8. I've tried it a bit more, and it starts out fine at 24fps, but drops to about 12fps over a minute or so. I haven't got a charger yet, but I'll fix it and hope that it might help. Otherwise; We connected the battery into the camera directly and it worked fine, so I'm at least glad the bad connection won't be inside the camera, if there is one at all. I'm gonna make the charger of a 220V transformer, which transforms to 7,5, 9 and 12V. Which would work best in charging the 7,2V battery? I'm guessing the 12V is to powerful. Thanks alot for your help! - Frederik
  9. Ok, I'll try to buy another battery.. The weird thing is, I tried to hook up my variable motor, and it ran at about 10fps when the cable was on it's way into the socket, but once completely in place, it doesn't run at all.. Btw, can I run 48fps on the 7,2V battery, or does it need more? Frederik
  10. Ok, so I've bought a 7,2V battery, and got a friend to do the wires right so it fits the camera, and when it is connected directly into the camera it runs smoothly at 24fps, but when it goes through a short 1m wire, it only runs at 23fps. Does the wire have to be shorter, or what else could be the problem? Thanks, Fredrik
  11. Oh, thanks alot! I found some 7,2V 1700amp batteries and I'll probably buy them very soon! Thanks alot for your quick replies! Frederik
  12. Ok, that's great! But if I parallell wire two 7,2V batteries, won't that make them alot stronger, rather than only lasting longer? Frederik
  13. Hi I recently bought an Arri 16SB with a Governor Controlled Motor (Constant 24fps) and a Variable speed 4-48fps motor, both running on 8V I think. However, 8V batteries are impossible to find, at least here in Norway, so is it doable to run this camera and motor on a 9 or 7.2V battery over a long period of time without any tear? And what amh does the camera need? Thanks! Frederik
  14. I just got my camera yesterday, and I'm loving it! One question though. There were two motors with it, but I'm unsure of what power these run at. Can anyone see what voltage these motors require? I'm thinking about buying a battery, either 8 or 12 volts, depending on the motors, and fixing the end so it fits the camera. Is there anything I need to think about when doing this? Constant speed (24fps), crystal? Variable speed (0-40fps I think) Thanks!
  15. [bOUGHT] Thanks for all your quick replies! I'm looking forward to getting my Arri 16S in 8 to 10 buisness days, so I got what I wanted!
