I don't have an MM motor for the 400ft mag on my Bolex H-16 M-5, but I was wondering if I could still shoot a 4000ft roll anyways. Have any of you guys ever shot without the MM motor? What's the worst that could happen? Any feedback is appreciated.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone could provide a brief description about how to load a Bolex H16 M5 using the 400 ft mag reel. I know that the camera is somewhat self loading in that after the film is properly loaded into the mag the end that's hanging out of it will automatically be threaded through the camera. Just looking for any input from anyone that has any experience with this particular model. Thank you!

I'd really appreciate it if someone could tell me what the "tilt/pan head" that Kubrick is using in this picture is called. It can be the exact model name or industry slang etc I just have no idea what these manual tilt/pan heads are called. Thank You!!
