  1. One constant hindrance for many camera operators is the lack of professional power outputs available for accessories on their rigs. The Rencher Industries BreakerBox solves this by providing a minimal footprint (2.36" x 1.38" x 0.79") breakout to one PowerTap receptacle (also called P-Tap or D-Tap) and two 2-pin Lemo Jacks. The receptacle housing is meant to be velcroed in place on the camera, Steadicam, gimbal, etc. The Mini Splitter can also be ordered with coiled cable or gimbal-friendly nylon jacketed silicone cable. If you need light and flexible cable for use with gimbal rigs (DJI Ronin, Freefly Movi, Letus Helix), silicone cable is the preferred choice. This splitter uses genuine Lemo, Anton/Bauer, and Hirose connectors, as well as flexible Mogami Cable. As always, or cables are assembled in Culver City, CA. Custom configurations with various jacks and wiring can be made upon request, just contact us. Shop now: http://mediablackout.net/product/breakerbox/

  8. Hi Tim, Yes, I do this upgrade for clients of mine. I replace the DIN connectors with Mini BNC connectors, and I replace the DC jack with a Lemo Jack. The Mini BNC connectors are the same design as normal BNCs, but only take up 60% of the space; this allows me to install them on the same footprint on the board with little modification to the case. Full-size BNC jacks can be added, but the have to be installed at the bottom of the case, opposite of the SSD opening.

This is great for those who want to keep their rig in its lightest configuration, whether it’s being used on a gimbal rig (DJI Ronin, Freefly Movi), or a body-mounted set up. The possibilities are endless! Media Blackout cable assemblies are made from high-quality components, and are assembled in Culver City, CA. It's shipping now on my website: http://mediablackout.net/product/intersex-plate/ This plate allows you to do several things, including: Attach a field recorder, like the BlackMagic Hyperdeck Shuttle, to an unused battery plate on a Steadicam Attach a Teradek Bolt or Paralinx Tomahawk / Arrow-X to a camera’s unused battery plate when used on a Steadicam or Gimbal (Freefly Movi, DJI Ronin, etc.) allowing builds to stay lower Clamp two Intersex Plates together to secure accessories that have no mounting points, like a Decimator AJA Mini Converter, etc. DITs can mount the Intersex Plate to a VESA 75 compatible stand or arm on their cart as a quick disconnect to allow small to medium sized monitors to mount and unmount easily and quickly Can be use to attach a V-mount and Gold Mount battery plates to iris rods The Intersex Plate can be used for so much more! The plate can also act as a sex-changer for other plates. It has hole patterns for: Gold Mount (male or female) V-Mount V-Wedge (Element Technica) Teradek Bolt Paralinx Tomahawk / Arrow-X VESA 75 9mm On-Center 1/4-20 (Red Spacing) 1″ On-Center 10-32 (Berkey System)
  19. Actually, PLC Electronics makes a start stop micro-controller cable for Lanc cameras: http://www.plcelectronicsolutions.com/c300-on-off-cable/
  20. DPI is a print standard, not a scan standard. If you are scanning an 8mm frame at 720 pixels, then it is 720 pixels wide. Your PPI (pixels per inch) might vary dependent on the display density, but that does not affect your scan. For example: A 1080 scan is always going to be 1080 pixels across; if you are watching it on a Nexus 5 phone, the PPI will be 445, but the resolution of the image will still be 1080. Hope this helps.
  21. From what I understand, lanc is a serial protocol- so it isn't as easy as closing or opening a circuit. A quick Google search pointed me to the Black Magic User forum. You might find your answers there. Good luck.
  22. You can always by the larger diameter filter, and use a step down ring on the smaller diameter lenses.
  23. The Alphatron is the highest rez aftermarket EVF right now, I think. I have a feeling that since "retina" quality displays are becoming more affordable, thanks to the proliferation of high PPI mobile devices, that we might see some higher resolution EVF's at NAB next year.
  24. That seems like a waste when you can get an ND filter for as little as $12. Here's an example: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/58709-REG/Tiffen_52ND9_52mm_Neutral_Density_ND.html
