Sean Halket

I am a cinematographer, writer, director, producer and camera operator on my own short films that I try to make whenever I can. I hope to be able to break into the film industry some day, but continue to make independent films rather than be sucked into the world of Hollywood.

My main influences are directors such as Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds) and Alfred Hitchcock (Phycho, The Birds) and I really admire Robert Rodriquez (El Mariachi, Sin City, Planet Terror) as he has been making totally independent films since his first one (El Mariachi) which he made for $7000. I hope to be like him and Quentin Tarantino some day.

I have been writing scripts since I was about 8 or 9 and have been directing since I was 11 or 12. Making films is now all I can imagine myself doing in the future and it is what I will keep doing, even if I don't make it into the industry.
