Well, I usually just direct my own screenplays due to the fact that by the time I've finished it I would never trust another director to make it for me. I'd probably end up directing the whole thing if I hired a director.

Well, for one thing, if she's just raising money for the movie, then she should not technically be called the producer. She sounds more like an investor, therefore, simply giving her the title for executive producer would fix it. Although she did not raise any money at all, just crediting her as executive producer may make her happier and it would save the film even if she did not raise money.

Any screenwriter out there who wants to speak about what the write? Please, let's talk screenplays, short and feature, whatever you're writting, I'm interested. P.S. I spelled screenwriting wrong...haha, dumbass.

Well, I would say a short film would be a much better thing to choose. In a short film you can show that at film festivals and although it will cost more money, it is not difficult to raise the money if you make it independently.
