  1. Hello. I couldn't decide where to place this topic.. Today was the first day I set up dual monitors with my hackintosh pc. They both work fine. When though I set View>External Video my second display and I play the footage I've edited, it only shows the frame when I stop playing the clip(on the timeline), it doesn't play the clip but only shows a frame of it when I stop it. I've tried all settings and searched forums but didn't find a solution. I even re-istalled Final Cut Studio 3 and updated it to it's latest possible version (on 10.5.7). Whenever I set it back to the 1 monitor preset, it does play. Does anyone know a solution to this? Hackintosh Specs : Intel Q6600 2.4Ghz | 6GB DDR3 RAM | ATi 4870 (working drivers) Monitors : Dell Ultrasharp 27" | EIZO Flexscan S2410W 24" I appreciate your time.
  2. I think I got you now. I see you're using FCP too, so to make this timecode I simply apply "Timecode Generator" under Video effect on Final Cut Pro 7, right? How though do I apply this on a timeline with only the song? Will it apply with a black background? Thanks again
  3. I'm not understanding what you're trying to say. I get the part where I make a quicktime that has the audio and a timecode but I don't get how I can take that and help me synchronise the shots. This will help me because I will be taking many takes. Thanks :D
  4. Hello. In about 1 month I will be shooting a music clip for a local hip&hop band and I need some help on how to do this. At my knowledge the way a music clip is made, you play the song while shooting and the band sings along and then you edit it and synchronise it with the studio recorded song. Is this the right way to do it? Anything else I missed? I really appreciate your input.
