Has anyone had the Z1 on a crane/steadicam yet? I am going for a demo on Wednesday morning next in Dublin, Ireland of the camera and it's compatibility with Final Cut Pro HD through Lumiere HD, but would love to know more before heading in.
I am interested to know if anyone has used the remote zoom/focus as seen at the following website

Project coming in Summer 2005 which would be great on HDV, but I'm slightly concerned about the adaptability of the camera to remote operation etc. I do realise that for under $5000, beggars can't be choosers and that if you want all of the operability of the Sony 900 - you pay for it.
