  1. Hi everybody I'm looking to find the best way to shoot a one take sequence. The camera starts in a kitchen, then pulls back out of the kitchen window to the garden and then goes to the opposite side of the street. The idea is that a woman in a kitchen is making cofee and that we follow the smell which atracts the guy in the garden and the pople on the opposite side of the street. The smoke of the coffee which we are gonne follow has to be able to go up and down etc. I was thinking technocrane, but the location then has to be perfect. The chances are we are going to need something more flexible that can addapt to a wider possibility of locations. Does anybody else have some ideas on alternatives? thank you!

  4. Hi guys, I would love to have some advice on the following problem. I'm going to shoot a car commercial next month. It will be one long technocrane movement with decor elements that will move etc but basically we' ll make a 180° around 3 cars. The client would love to have this theater spotlight feel. Normally I would just use as my main light put a huge grid cloth above the cars to have the nice reflections. My question is, to get those nice beams of light and circle around the cars from the theaterspots and still keep the nice soft reflections without having the hard spots of the theater lights is there anyway I can combine those 2 atmospheres? I was maybe thinking in doing it with the gridcloth above and later in post composite the beams above the cars and the cirkels around the cars. Remember, cars will move towards camera at the end and camera will move to. If anyone needs more info to help me out let me know. Thx guys
  5. Hi everybody, I am preparing a shoot for a short movie. Actually we are just preparing the tests, we are gonna make a little teaser just to check everything out. The whole movie is shot on a kind of wooden raft in the middle of a lake (you dont see anything else then water). For the underwater stuff we go to a swimmingpool. IT IS A NIGHT SETTING! The only light source there is , is a fire torch on the raft. The fire has no effect on the underwater shots, we want to create something abstract cause it is a fantasy world. I was thinkin about making a circle of back/top light around personage for when he is on the surface (FILMED IN LAKE) And for the underwater shots take that idea but make it harder. [NOW MY QUESTION IS: how can I simulate a lake like feeling in a swimming pool? I think it is gonna be an indoor pool so i can make everything dark and make a rigg or something over the pool with a couple of hmis in back top or maybe working via mirrors. I just want to make sure it is not a clear blue pool look, and I want to make sure we dont see the end or the floor of the pool. You think putting black cloths underwater on the floor and walls is a good idea to get the infinite feeling? If you want to have a better vieuw about what i mean I can send some parts of the storyboard. THANK YOU SO MUCH! WIM Any suggestions are welkom... I heard about the milk additif you can use, I dont know yet If we may do that
