I just got an email from Tim saying you guys missed me so I thought I'd jump in and let you know I've just been busy on the set of my new film "Landon and Me". It'll be coming out as soon as we can get funding.

It's been a much discussed topic and the price was in the hundreds of thousands of dollars for post work on the vidjo.

Sorry to piggyback onto your question but I was wondering if anyone knew if there was a meaning behind the occasional flares that occur in the film. iirc, there were five or six long horizontal blue flares at certain points. They were so blatant that I couldn't help but think they had a hidden meaning of some sort.

So there up to 1% of the worldwide theatre market now?

The "real story" of "The Exorcist" happened in one of the buildings I went to college, St. Louis University. The priest who took part in the exorcism died today.

What do you do if you end the planned day early? Ever done that?

Yeah. Even Super8 looks good on the tube.

One cutter told me the key is "keep your cement fresh".

My son had to be in makeup at 4:30am for two weeks two years ago. That would make him 14, though. He put in too many hours cause I forgot to keep track and nobody else did either. But he's a pro and didn't complain.

Was it Eisenhower who said "Plans are useless, but planning is everything"?

No...that was me...just last week.

Rocky Mountain Film processes this. I think their prices are about $10 higher than RGB was.

It's in excellent condition. Clean as a whistle. Even has a load of film in it! Heh.

I used to know the answer to that but I forgot. This question should be in a writers forum somewhere, no?

Does anyone know anything about this camera? My son just picked one up for $3 at an estate sale.
Does anyone know a link to a free instruction manual? I've seen the sites where you can buy one but, hey, you know...

My son has been professionally acting since he was eight. He's 16 now but if the script was good he would do it. It's the worthiness of the script that makes that determination, not the subject matter.
He was offered a part in a play playing a gay character last month. Although he said he would have no problem playing a gay character, after reading the script, he was just "uncomfortable" with the part. It was very sexually explicit.

This would go over better on a writers forum not a forum for cinematographers.

Find an audio forum. Isn't there one on the web somewhere?

If exhibitors and filmproducers don't get onboard soon, there won't be any cinemas left to show film in.
Yeah. This whole TV thing will obsolete theat....wait a minute. Where have I heard this before?

So we've got a Swedish guy living in England with zits the size of Kansas. Is this an international board or what?! :)

28 Day Later did not use "off the shelf" lenses and spent hundreds of thousands of dollar to post-process the image to get it to the level it was.

Well, I have an Arri S and I'm really glad I got it even though it's been hard finding accessories and parts for it. I hope to have it up and running by spring.
A spring wound Arri S. What will she come up with next? :)

Yes, you really have to wonder how many of those 200 were just kids, lids and space cadets wanting to become famous.
