  1. I hear good things about Mpeg Streamclip from this forum and elsewhere, but nothing about working with footage from this camera in iMovie 6 HD, or if it is even possible to preserve certain frame rates. Anyone tried it? If I go with the 550D/T2i, should I buy here: http://www.camerakin...&l=PriceGrabber ? Seems too good to be true. Also, is there a difference between the European model and the American one (550D/T2i)?
  2. I like the manual focus and shallow depth of field and large sensors of these DSLRs, and the Canon 550D/T2i can overcrank to 60 in 720p, and shoots 1080p at 30/25/24 fps. Looks to me like a great price for all that, aliasing notwithstanding. Will it be necessary to transcode to another codec in order to edit with iMovie HD? Is framerate conversion going to mess up the video quality? Anyone had experience with the 550D and iMovie HD? What program would be ideal? EDIT: Sorry, didn't see the DSLR part of the forum. But I'll keep this question here so that I can amend it to ask: is a camcorder like the EX1 really THAT much better in low light than the Panasonic HDC-TM700? And what other advantages does that Sony have over that Panny? The TM700 has manual focus, and can record 1080 60p. Seems pretty damn good for the money, no?
  3. Agreed. I am just afraid that what I shoot will look good on the web but bad on tv unless i use the right camera. Love your showreel.
  4. Looking for a camera to rent for a tv commercial that is supposed to have a film-like, big-screen look. Budget for camera rental under $800 per week. Will edit with Final Cut Express. Thanks for reading. I am really grateful for any suggestions.
