  1. With my Super8 camera, I like to be mobile and just shoot (like 35mm street photography), so I was trying to see if there was any trick to keep it on auto and still get proper exposure, but seems like manual metering is my best bet (as it always is).
  2. I have a Nizo S55 camera, and I've shot some of the new Ektachrome 100D stock on it once almost a year back, and I remember the footage looking a bit underexposed. Can that camera read the notching for that stock to properly expose it? Or should I look to have it pushed a stop or two? Also, I read somewhere that on Nizo cameras the new 100D stock needs to be on the Tungsten setting, rather than the Daylight setting. Is that true also? I'm guess if it is, the camera thinks it's the 64T Ektachrome stock (but that should slightly overexpose the 100D stock...not underexpose it...) If someone can give me any information it would be helpful. Thanks, Taka
  3. I've had this lens since I bout my bolex, but I've never used it because it doesn't have a focusing ring on it. I figure since I have it, I might as well use it once in a while. Does anybody know what the depth of field is like on this lens and what the min. focus would be, especially when the aperture is more open? Thanks!
  4. I recently bought a roll of the old Ektachrome 7239 stock. I know this goes through a VNF-1 process, which Yale Film and Video does, but can they run the 7239 stock? I've alternatively heard that you can process this stock through E-6 (maybe at Dwayne's?) and get ok results. Is this true? Has anyone shot 7239 recently, and what did you do?
  5. A couple rolls can be found on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/16mm-Kodak-Ektachrome-7252-Film-100ft-Bolex-Arri-/250745649461?pt=Film_Cameras&hash=item3a619af935 http://cgi.ebay.com/FILM-KODAK-EKTACHROME-7252-16MM-MOVIE-CAMERA-REX-5-400F-/280606637820?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4155757efc
