  1. I'm about to get started on a project with our DVX100a and I have a question about setting up the camera wrt time code. I'll be using Premiere Pro 1.5 to edit. I'm not sure what the best method to use with time code. Should I be striping my tapes (ie laying down time code before hand)? What about in camera settings like preset, regen, free-run, etc. Also, I was messing around with shooting in 16:9 in camera and then importing to Premiere. My first thought was to setup a project in 16:9 mode but it further shrinks the image. Am I correct in assuming that even if you shoot in 16:9 you still need to setup the project settings to 4:3? Likewise, if I shoot in 4:3 can I simply choose the 16:9 project setting to convert everything to letterbox or will that distort the image. Lastly, I was messing around importing clips to Premiere Pro 1.5 and have some questions about audio. We are using two wireless Sennheiser EW-100 G2 plugged into the on-cam xlr inputs(Ch1&2). I'm not much of an audio expert. When importing the clips the mics are obviously separated to left and right. My solution so far has been to create a mono submix and routing the audio track to that. Is that correct? Basically I want stereo output for all tracks. What method should I be using to do this?
