  1. Happy Birthday Jesus !!! Hope all your dreams come true and have a fantastic year ahead. :)

  2. Sorry, I had forgot to inform that we will not be doing any DI for the film. We are not allowed to do any optical also. So without DI or optical, how to do we do this? Thanks Jayanth Mathavan India
  3. Hi, I have to shoot a movie where there will be few shots where the character is shown walking in reverse direction and the seconds needle of a wall clock moving in reverse direction. It should be fairly easy if my motion picture camera has a reverse option. But unfortunately, the camera which I will be using is Arri BL4 which doesn't have the reverse option. So without using the reverse option in the camera, how do we do the technique. Please help. Thanks Jayanth Mathavan India
  4. Hi, In my film school, we have three color meters. There are two Sekonic Prodigi Color C-500 and one Minolta Color Meter IIIF. But right now, all the three color meters are showing different color temperatures when measuring the same light source. The difference ranges around 300k to 500k from one color meter to another color meter. So am not sure which color meter is showing the correct color temperature. Can anyone please guide me on how to judge which the correctly working color meter. and also is there a way we can calibrate the color meter? please help. Thanks and Regards Jayanth India
  5. Hi, We are just learning how to setup lighting in a studio for different lighting conditions. Of course, it will be difficult to replicate the difference between a morning and night scene within a studio with black and white film. But, it will be helpful if anyone can help me out with setting up of different lights required and at what positions to replicate a morning scene(indoors) within a studio setup for black and white film. Thanks Jayanth
  6. Thanks for a quick reply. I am not planning to convert it to video. No telecine will be done. So I just want to achieve a higher contrast with lighting and playing around with exposures. Thanks Jayanth
  7. Hi, This will be my first post in this forum. am a student of film school in india. am in 1st year of my course. We are supposed to make a short film with Fuji Eterna 250D. I have heard that its a very good stock which is low in contrast. I basically want to know which will be best lighting conditions under which we can use Eterna 250D for the best results. I want the film to look with realistic colors and bit of high contrast. Will it be possible to get it using Eterna 250D, if so, under what lighting conditions can we achieve that? Please give some examples if possible. Thanks Cheers Jayanth
