  1. I did like the shots, lighting, framing... it doesnt even look like a 1st film but has a complete professional feel. I guess there is a lot of room for improvement on the screenplay side.
  2. I mainly like browsing Wikipedia to scout for stories/concepts. Some great authors worth exploring are - Morley callaghan, Neil gaiman and of course classics of Oscar wilde, Kafka... I do have a couple of scripts with me which are based on short stories (some indian ones which can be adapted to american culture). If you are interested, we can collaborate.
  3. I have loved all of Zhang yimou's films and definitely this one got a well-deserved oscar. I liked "Not one less" equally the same, but it got a bit too melodramatic in the end. The beauty of "Raise the red lantern" is in creating an engaging film with limited locations and still maintaining the grandeur through colors, lighting in cinematography !!
