  1. Still didnt solve this riddle, but I got this shot from the Moller museum in Germany.
  2. Hey Dan, The rod solution I built myself but I am curious how the original set-up looked like and what that bayonet mount was really for. I thought maybe for a dual synch solution? This gallery features my lens. The serial matches: http://209.54.50.91/gallery/v/movie_len/?g2_page=7 thanks
  3. Hello, I bought this lens already some months ago and rarely had time looking further into what I really got there. From the pre-owner I got a "detailed" history sheet but it lacks a lot of information. I tried tracking down more by contacting Moller Germany but they have no real clue and forwarded my request to the Moller museum/archive. I have been puzzled by the mount. Anybody got an idea about which taking lens we could be talking here? Kinoptik? Cooke? Dual-sync? My goal is to set this lens up the way it was intented to be used. Thanks for your help! Stefan
  4. my first posting - so: Hello! It looks like - fingers crossed - that I will be working on a big doc next year. And so I started thinking about how to shoot it. First: It will be a cinema production. Like we all know, that doesn't mean there is tons of cash but the film is meant to be for the big screen. 4k is no must-have. Anyway... Most of the shots will be indoor. So only natural and some minor other light-sources. Basic stuff all in all. I need a camera that has decent low light quality, like the FS100, but can also handle anamorphic lenses... or at least give me the possibility to attach an EVF that can handle cinemascope (if the camera monitor can't). Overall it's not really decided to shoot it in cinemascope, actually it's also not really handy shooting it having no zoom, but we just love the look of it. So.. to break it down: What would be a decent anamorphic-camera-setup? I do have several anamorphic lenses here, like the Kowa 8z, the Iscorama 36 and some others, they have all been mounted on DSLR but for that project I want to eliminate DSLRs. As they gave me a pretty hard time recently. Can the F3 handle anamorphic glass? thanks!
