  1. I am actually not flying but crossing the border in my car. I don't think X-rays are avoidable. I would think these would be at least as powerful if not more so than the airport ones. I Just ended up bringing one cart and see how it goes. I will post when I get the film back.
  2. Hi I am headed to Montana from Canada and was wondering if anyone has crossed borders with film? Just curious if the X-ray scans they do will fog the film. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  3. I have had a Sankyo Xl-420 for awhile now and haven't really had the chance to use it other than running one cartridge through it. I was wondering if anyone has used one in the past and if they had any pointers on films that work well with it. I have searched around and haven't been able to find a lot of info on this camera (most is for the Xl-620). Any helpful advice on the camera would be appreciated.
  4. I have some Super 8 and regular 8mm cameras I am looking to part with, all are in good working order and have been film tested. I am open to offers so private message me with offers or questions. I can provide pictures to interested parties. Here is the list. Super 8 Sankyo Xl-420 Sankyo MF-404 Sankyo ES-25Xl Argus Cosina 706 Eumig Viennette 2 Regular 8 Bell & Howell Electric Eye Bell & Howell Two Twenty Kodak Cine Scopemeter Turret
  5. Ok so I think I have answers to both my questions now. For some reason I missed Martin talking about the option to pull process it. I think I must have been overwhelmed by all of the info. Lots to take in but I am definatly learning a ton. I am going to try out some of these methods and see how things go. Thanks again for helping out a newbie, really appreciated.
  6. Also I was reading up on my other camera the Sankyo 420 xl and came across an article by a Martin Baumgarten and am guessing its you. Would this camera be a better option for plus-x and 100d or am running into the same problems? I haven't used this cam at all and haven't read up on it a whole lot so any info would be very much appreciated.
  7. Thanks everyone for the input, my question now is the Plus-X I shot a write off or can I have it pushed during processing? Again thanks a lot for taking the time to help out, theres lots of info to take in.
  8. Ok awesome I was a little confused by differing things I have read. I had the filter switch on the sun position so I should be all good. I have some 100d I am planning on using so that is great to know. What should I do regarding Tri-X? Anywho really appreciate all the help.
  9. Hi everyone I am pretty new to super 8 and had a quick question. I shot a roll of Plus-x on my Canon 514xl-s, problem is I didn't disable the daylight filter. I had read that inserting the cartridge would disable it but have since found information that says differently. I am just wondering what having it on would have done to my footage? Any input would be greatly appreciated.
