  1. I am a NY based film student seeking a bedroom and living room to shoot two scenes for my short next month. Does anyone know any sites/networks that I can go through in order to find someone willing to rent out their place. I am on a limited budget. Thank you, Miguel Zamora
  2. I will be shooting a short in about a month, and one of the scenes is a night exterior. I wanted to use Kodak 250D/200T in order to have less grain, and the lights I will have available are Inkies, Tweenies, Babies, Soft 2Ks, Broad 1K, Lowell Lightomh Kits 1K, Kino Flo 4Bank. I am wondering if these lights would be enough for a night ext with a 250D/200T stock. I am seriously considering doing Day for Night in order to use this stock, but that's a different beast. This is essentially a lighting assignment for my Advanced Cinematography clas, but I am turning it into a short. Thank you, Miguel
  3. Very interesting, Brian, thank you. I am looking at the book, now. I am currently living out of NY, and I understand that California is THE feature film haven, but is there any thing to be said about pursuing that path out here in NY?
  4. I am a current Film Student, and am wondering what kind of positions I should gear for that can lead me towards a career as a Film Director. I was thinking of working as a Grip, but I'm seeing they work more with the DP, and it seems more geared towards that path. I was also thinking of Editor. I basically want to be able to have a job that will A: Help me pay ends meet when I am out of college and B: Will help further expose me to the type of connections that I need to make in order to become a Director. Thank you, Miguel
  5. I am buying a T2I in a few weeks, and I was curious as if I were to uses lenses from still cameras (ofcourse with a lens converter) to shoot my videos would I still be able to produce quality images? I'm looking at brands such as Pentax and Yashica.
  6. Evan, thank you very much. That was better advice than any site I've visited. Cheers.
  7. I am looking into buying a digital camera to practice my film making skills, and also gain work out in the field. I am a current film student, and have been mainly using 16mm film cameras (Bolex and Arri). I have been thinking of getting a 7D Canon. Does anyone have any tips or maybe point me to an informative site that will help me purchase the correct camera for my stage of film making.
