  2. Thanks for the info! Sent him a e-mail right away.
  3. Thanks for the info's Is there a way to check if the motor is faulty? There is a light indicator on the motor which in certain settings goes on, and other goes of. I am not sure if the lamp should be on or off when running crystal sync.... I've read conflicting topics about this.
  4. Hello all, I am planning to shoot a little documentary film on s16mm soon and i am really looking forward to it. However, there are quite some technical questions. I know that there are allot of topics here on cinematography and elsewhere about this topic, but they cannot really answer my question. I have an eclair NPR which runs crystal sync at 24/50 24/60 or 25/50 (perfect tone motor) I will probably use an tascam dr-05. I did an test film with sound, which I digitalized (HD scan) but was unable to synchronize the sound with the image. I am not sure whether i made an mistake or the motor simply doesn't run crystal sync. So my question is if i can use my tascam for the sound and what do I need to know to do it right? What do I really need to know about the settings for example to have in run synchrony in the first place? I hope you guys with the knowledge can help me a few feet up. In this particular field i don't really know where to start, so help is much appreciated. Thanks allot in advance
  5. I have just been reading the manual and it says: "The above included motors include a pilot lamp which goes off as soon as the motor does not run at synchro speed." I am really confused now to be honest. The motors in the manual are indicated with codes which I do not understand.
  6. Hello everyone, I have an eclair NPR with a perfect tone motor on it. When does the motor run crystal sync? When the red light is on or off? I am a little confused after reading different topics end texts.
  7. I see now what you mean. I am looking around where I want my film developed, but I haven't decided yet.
  8. Thanks a bunce! The orwa looks good. Perhaps I'll trie it. Dirk, there is allot of talk about that right here http://www.cinematography.com/index.php?showtopic=56292 Maybe that topic can help you.
  9. Anyone knows where I can buy b/w 400ft reversal film stock in europe or shipping to europe? Haven't found anything yet.... Thanks!
  10. Thanks, that helps allot. I am a beginner with 16 mm and still in a learning process. I have another question. Are there good books/websites on 16 mm editing? Including sound editing? Would like to know! Thanks, Jannis
  11. My first post here, and hello to everyone. I have bought a Eclair NPR some time ago which is converted to super 16. But right now it would be convenient for me to use normal 16 mm film. So my question is, is it possible to use 16 mm film in a super 16 camera? One of the sprocket sides will probably be exposed. Other than that, could there be major complications? Thanks in advance!
