  1. No wonder their contact info didn't work. I ended up going with the newer Cinebag. Pretty nice, stealthier than the other versions as well.
  2. Hey guys currently working out of a husky and Jansport backpack, want to buy a bigger bag to accommodate my tools better and use my husky as an onset ditty. I only see Arri, Cinebag, Modular51, and Portabrace but was wondering if there were any other good alternatives out there whether made for AC's or not. Thanks!
  3. I am looking into buying a couple 1000watt dimmers and some dimmers to use on my larger 2K lights. Can't seem to find any 2K dimmers so what is recommended?
  4. Hello, I am looking into buying some Ianiro Redheads and Blondes but everywhere I look they are in another country with a shipping rate so high they aren't even worth buying anymore. Does anyone know where I can get them in the US or do you think its wiser to just get Arrilites or DeSiste? Thanks, Vito
  5. Yeah, i might go the red one route afterall. after seeing the list of issues the black magic has. Plus i can get the red one package cheaper than a bmc package and its a proven camera.
  6. Sorry for the late post guys, I agree with you completely, after further research i think i've decided to go with the red one. The BMC has a few problems as of now regarding focus and i really don't like the crop factor although the post about the Metabones speed booster was interesting. Point is, i can get a red one package used for cheaper than a BMC package all new.
  7. Thank you for everyones answer, I have been leaning towards the BMC over the Red One the thing that make it hard is i would be getting a hell of a deal with the Red One - Rods, media drives, battery plate, arri mattebox, the red one monitor, and a few other things. I think I will go for the new BMC after all. Makes more sense in terms of renting the package out for my work. Haven't seen much of the Red One in the industry lately. Just wanted reassurance ^_^
  8. I am looking for my first "cinema" quality camera to update a t2i ive been using. I have been looking at the Red One since I can get one for $4,000 with AKS, but is it still a good investment. Do people still want it? Looking to rent it out. My other choice was the Black Magic camera but that crop factor is kind of killer. I'm just kind of stuck to put it simply.

  10. Thanks a lot. I've figured out a nice workflow that works for me in Premiere CS6, now that you shared this I think i'm all set.
  11. How would be "BEST" to watch The Hobbit, Reald 3D in High Frame Rate or IMAX 3D in High Frame Rate? How was the movie meant to be shown?
  12. Well, as the title hints: What is the best lossless workflow between the two? I edit my footage first then grade, it's just how i like to work. but having to render out of resolve when round tripping kind of sucks. Is there a way around it? I would like a way to work with the raw .r3d files until it is time to render the finished product. I also use premiere CS6. Switch between premiere and avid. So if you found a workflow for either one i'd be greatful. Thanks Vito
  13. Thanks:) Yea, its just a set to start with. Definitely plan on expanding.
  14. Yes, I did get a few scrims with c stands, and some gels. Thanks:)
