I am new to the forum. Although I am a filmmaker myself (20 years in docs) I am now doing and MA/Masters project. I was just wondering if anyone new how much an Ecalir NPR (or any of those early 16mm cameras used to revolutionise doc filkm in the 1960s) cost new? Robert Drew apparently asked Life for $1 million to develop the cameras that Richard Leacock, Maysles etc eventuall used on "Primary", but so far I have not found a reference giving the actual cost of the cameras. Does anyone know?
