  1. Querido JAime

  2. 3. THat's great Jonathan

I just got my Eclair NPR today, And I'm flying , I sound like a little girl

I think she will be really happy with the ACL, but if you get a good deal on an Aaton... a great deal, then and only then consider the Aaton, now, you should get definitly Super 16.

  4. Hello Jonathan

I was looking for a camera a couple of months ago

And boy I had so many choices and I'm small to ( but strong)

The aaton is an excellent chice, and MItch Gross's pachage is great, and if this was going on a couple of months ago I will definitly consider, the problem , pointed by Tim Carroll, to overhaul this camera is a minimum of 2200, I said what!!!!????

So That camera is like a porsche, why buy a luxury when you need smoething that will get you from point a to point b, You don't need to buy a junker but a 2 door sedan will do the trick

So I got an old sport car of cameras and a Eclair NPR and LEs Bosher just finish converting it to Super 16 with the PL mount ,rods Matte Box and the whole thing: Final total expended 4900 US$

Now the camera is heavy and I liked like that but I think if you want a great proffesional tool for your fiance a modify Eclair ACL2 will do the trick and this camera is small and light and it will take you or anybody from point A to point B with no hassle, when she gets more money more clients more work, ergo, more money and cash flow she can get one of this luxuries cameras ( Arri , Aaton)

Why buy a luxury car if you can't afford it?

is your script great?, I mean truly great, amazing?

if not why not save that money and wait for mopre to make your movie.

Second a 35mm camera ( stills) could cost you 200 dollars with a nice Lens,

I would look for someone with a camera already, instead of buying..... shoot it get it done and save some money

  8. First of all.... change your name to your full name

Second, if you want to become a DP, educated yourself, educated your eye, and your mind.

You can't be a DP with out knowing basic terms, (Reflex, MOS, etc)

the best way to learned for me is that you pickup a 35mm manual slr and go and shoot every day going through diferent elements of photography.

    Good luck

  10. I'm Directing this documentary Art Officially Favored, about a Berkeley street musician Michael Malsey.

Now Mr Masley is driving me crazy because he keeps bringing logos to the picture, and I'm not talking things that he has no remedy on showing (like the logo of his VW camper)

no, Mr Masley brings a shirt for his main interview, with a huge logo, he goes and plays his great music on the street with a flashing M medallion, ( yeah cute you think) before I know it I see that is the Motorola logo

The funny think is I have try as I director, as a friend, as a brother, to explain him that you need permission to show those logos, no matter what.

well his mentality is that he bought those items he has the right to show them in a movie about his life..... isn't cute .... I'm this close to drop the project, yes 3 years of my life down the drain

in you nice and great english... please what explanation you will give to this guy.....

    please Help
