Alain Nasnas

Dear Readers and Cinematographers, My name is Alain Nasnas. I am the founder of BAN, an animation studio and a network of more than 200 talents related to animation and cinematography, residing in Beirut, Lebanon. Being self-taught in directing animation, i decided to complement my knowledge and to evaluate my skills, by applying to Prague Film School, to learn, evaluate and enhance my skills in each step of the filmmaking process, from script to screen. To my good fortune, i have been accepted in Prague Film School, to attend 1 year filmmaking program, from September 2012 till May 2013. We have graduated on May 25th, I was there this year, while this comment has been posted. This is to certify that this year spent at Prague Film School was an intensive wonderful learning experience on so many levels. - The school has provided the perfect environment for self development and creativity, keeping us on a very nice line between intensive technical learning and creative freedom. - The Teachers are full of Knowledge and experience. I don’t need to praise the qualities of each as it would be misplaced. Their reputation precedes them. - The courses are so interesting, combining theoretical knowledge, technical information, practical workshops. The Production office has been so helpful in the 6 shorts films I have directed this year. In my diploma film, I decided to go into stopmotion puppet film. The School has agreed to lend me lights, camera for 20 days, without any reserve. We were around 50 students of around 20 nationalities. You can’t imagine how much this kind of experience and learning, upgrades your skills as director and cinematographer. There is a lot more to say about Prague Film School.
