  1. In addition to what David is saying, I have had art dept. rig a rain machine to plexy glass with the fresnel open off of a 5k or 2k blasting light through it. Using the plexy glass versus a real window will give you more control over the detail and placement of your shadows.
  2. Can the ballasts handle hire wattage bulbs like these http://1000bulbs.com/product/53419/FC28-FDL28EXD.html ? These bulbs are 5000k and will better match the windows. PLus, adding 1/8 -green will correct the color enough without killing all the output.
  3. Hey Mike, Those gloves are over kill. You rarely will need to hold anything to hot for an extended period of time. I let lights cool down for the most part before wrapping them. Gaff tape - whatever you can get a deal on. Make productions pay for it when you can. Pony clamps - These are what most people use. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=&sku=283214&is=REG&Q=&A=details The ones you selected are cheaply made. Stands - Rent
  4. Tonnage refers to the amount of weight a truck can carry. This goes for pickup trucks and box trucks as well. I think its safe to say packages vary and most companies will do al la carte for a lot of there heads.
