I'm a post-production Art Director specializing in compositing, design, and animation. I'm learning about film as a new hobby.
  1. I have a non-working Scoopic that I'd be willing to sell or part out. Let me know if you're interested. - Joe
  2. I came across this topic while I was trying to research if an anamorphic adapter would work for converting standard 16mm to widescreen without trying to adapt the gate on my Scoopic for Super 16. Looks like that answer is yes. If anyone has any more information on this I'd be very interested. Does anyone know if there is a particular adapter that would be best suited for the Scoopic's 72mm thread? It was also hard to follow because it looks like all of the pics are gone, am I missing something?
  3. I've had a similar issue with an original Scoopic. It wasn't a weak battery. When loading the film the motor winds down and it does sound like the battery is running out, however, if I close the case and lock it back in it runs strong. Not sure what this is either, but I was using a newly recelled battery and I tested the voltage, plus it ran for a long time after that issue.
  4. I re-celled a Scoopic even though I had no idea what I was doing. It was pretty easy. I made a quick "video"
  5. Sorry, I think 320 is actually the top speed. I don't have the camera with me right now.
  6. I wanted to see if I could get any advice about shooting Kodak 7219 500T film in my Canon Scoopic. The ASA speed maxes out at 380. Will this overexpose everything? Should I only shoot with interior lighting? Could it be used in daylight with an ND filter? I'm new to this, so I'm still learning a lot. Thanks for any advice! - Joe
