  1. Thanks a lot for the info, I will check about it, but if there's any photo reference or link would be nice, since I still new in grip
  2. Thanks for info, what kind of grip I can attach on the the speed rail or lumber, so I can attach a camera on it ?And if there's any photo sample would be great help. Thanks
  3. Hello, Since I would like to put the Red Scarlet with lens (about 4.5-5kg) from the top(about 2 metre high at least) doing a top shot on the character lay on the ground, even I put my tripod high up, but the angle is not desirable, just wonder if there's any way of gripping/ mounting to do a top shot from the ceiling ? Thanks
  4. I will purchase a Kinflo Flathead 80, just wonder if there's any good high roller stand with suitable weight and height to use for production, any recommendations ? Also is wind up stand convenient to use, since I found that it takes some time to wind up to the desire height ? thanks
  5. Thanks a lot for reply, I'm in 220V, it seems I need an electrician on set, btw, just wonder if lighting up like ARRIMAX (18/12KW), I know the power is really large, I don't think there's any portable generator can support it. Is it normally to hire a generator truck for that or any other method to get the power ?
  6. Sorry for confusion, as new to forum, I will follow the rule and hope someone can share me some advices on my question, thanks
  7. I’m prepare doing lighting for a indie film, somehow I’m still a beginner in lighting, I used to do lighting with small power light, so I used to drag the household power,.Since I prepare to light a large scene , maybe need to rent some large power HMI (4K or more) which the household power cannot afford, so what options can I have ? I’ve thought of generator, but I’m not sure if the power is steady to operate high power light, also the noise issue. I’ve heard of three phase electricity which most of lighting make use of, but I am not sure the theory and how to calculate the power, is there any advice on that ? Also normally where I can get the three phase electricity? Thanks

  9. Since I’m considering a B-camera like Red Scarlet or Blackmagic Production 4K camera, but they are recorded with different codec, one is Redcode , another is CinemaDNG Raw. As I notice the file size of Redcode Raw is much smaller than the CinemaDNG Raw (around 1 : 6), does it mean the latitude of color correction for Redcode Raw is less than cinemaDNG Raw? I used to shoot 8:1 compression in RED 4K, what I feel confused is that both are raw and 4K,but their file size are so different, I know they both under compression, but will the compression affect the quality of the footage and how it affects the latitude of color correction in both cameras ? Thanks
