  1. Thanks Simon. You will probably get a PM from me in the near future. Thanks again for all help!
  2. Thanks a lot, Phillip! So high-hat is the proper name. No wonder I never found anything. I bought the one on ebay, he accepted my offer on $200 :) Thanks for the help. Finally, I can mount my Arriflex on a tripod.
  3. Thanks for the information everyone. I think I've got my mind settled on a Kodak Cine Special. It seems like a cool camera (look are important!) with all functions I would need. I also like that even the shutter is variable. Although 180 would be preferable, 165 will be interesting. Too bad there's no 400' magazine, but 100' on 16mm is 5-ish minutes after all. Mister Wyss, if I get my hands on one. Are you able, and willing to, look over it for a CLA? Thanks again for the massive help. Lasse
  4. I am looking for the possibility to mount my Arriflex 35 II on a tripod, and would like to buy a tripod adaptor. I've added a photo of the item I am looking for. I know there's several versions, which one is not important to me. Must be able to ship to Oslo, Norway. Thank you. Best regards Lasse
  5. Thanks for the many good comments here. Thanks for the quick introduction on the Bolex - explains it better than any place I've read so far! The Bolex is definitely a camera worth looking into. But I also like what I see in the Kodak Cine Special - only drawback is it's proprietary lens mount. But I see packages coming with many lenses - how are the lenses on the Cine Special? Thanks again for the great help.
  6. Thank you, mr. Murashige. Yes, my Angineux is a C-mount lens. I should add that I don't have any problems buying more lenses for whichever camera I end up with. And yes, I have problems finding any reflex camera pre-45. It was still very new then. But are there other "pro-level" 16mm cameras from the era without reflex?
  7. Hi, for an upcoming project, I am looking for a good, vintage 16mm camera. By vintage, I would preferably mean pre-1945. But I am unsure of my options, as I haven't read myself up on 16mm cameras from this era. The best option right now seems to be the Bell & Howell Filmo, but I would really love to have a reflex camera and use an Angineux zoom I have. What other options are there? If all else fail, I might just get a Bolex H16 Reflex, even though it is from the 1950s. Also, I am not a beginner to motion picture film. Thank you for your help. -Lasse
  8. Thanks Sam. Sounds fantastic. I've sent you an E-mail.
  9. Hi, I'm looking for an Arriflex 16m in working condition. Everything of interest. Must be willing to ship to Norway. Thanks in advance -Lasse
  10. Thanks again, Dom. Just spoke witha friend of mine who works with electric components. He said any transistor, with the correct specification, will work. Popping the camera open today to get the ID. Thanks.
  11. Thanks Dom. That might just be it! Do you know the transistor's specifications? I'd like to try to replace it.
  12. Hi all. I recently converted my 16bl to 4-pin XLR as the old 9-pin got weary. But as I plugged in the battery, it suddenly did a 35-36 FPS! I've tried with a couple of different 12v batteries, but same result. Does anyone have an idea what may cause the problem, and how to fix this? The camera's all standard. Did a constant 24fps before. Any help is welcome. Kind regards.
