  1. Thanks for your critique! The lighting setup was indeed changed for Act 2! The whole film is supposed to be nighttime. It was filmed on location in two buildings that were open to the air. The doors and windows had been removed. The DP did the lighting setups. So of course that was not the sun! How would you suggest it be relit in order to take away that impression? More diffusion on the light? I believe it was bounced out of a corner or wall. BUt you did say you like hard lit scenes so was it just the movement of the light that was the problem in that scene? In the scene with the man and the girl the backdrops for the two shots were blue while the one shots were yellow. Did that bother you that much? Thanks for your help!

  4. Almost everyone of these films is a big budget film. Where are the independents? Paris, Texas and Sex, Lies and Videotape were two of the best American films of the 80's (both Cannes Award winners) and made for under one million dollars each! Of course this AFI list is really about money and popularity. I will withhold more complaining!
  5. All works well but the shutter was replaced with one that is TOO SMALL to shoot Super 16. So you MUST replace the shutter if you want to shoot Super 16! It shoots regular 16 fine with the current shutter and everything else works. The batteries don't have much life left in them so they should be replaced soon. 1 Arriflex 16SR2 Body 3 Coaxile 400ft Mags 4 Arri Mag Covers 3SRC 12/1.2 Batteries 2 16 SR2 Battery Chargers 1 Rubber Eye Cup 1 Eye Piece Extender 1 Arri Dovetail Base Plate w/15mm Rod 2 Eye Piece Extension Holder 1 4x4 LMB-3 w/2 trays 1 Set 15mm 6" Ext. 6. Can I delete it? It seems like the revisions I want to make are a bit big for it.
  7. I was told that they were mk II over the phone by a lens repair shop. If anyone wants assurance I can go get them looked at by a pro shop. I'm not here to rip anyone off. Thanks for asking.

  9. Hello, I recently inherited an Arriflex SR2 Super 16 film camera and a bunch of lens! I would like to sell them but I am having trouble figuring out if they are MKI, MKII or MKII variety and if they are pl mount or Arriflex bayonet mount. This is the information I have on them so far: Zeiss 9.5mm Distagon 1:12 T1.3 Superspeed Zeiss 12mm Distagon 1:12 T1.3 Superspeed Zeiss 16mm Distagon 1:12 T1.3 Superspeed Zeiss 25mm Distagon 1:12 T1.3 Superspeed Zeiss/Optex 12-120mm T2.4 Does any one know how I can tell what type of MK series they came from and the type of mount they have? (I think it's a PL mount but I want to make sure as I live in a small town and will have to ship them to someone who is far away.)
