Hi, It's exactly as David pointed out: A piece of thick plexi on which he is standing, and through lighting (high key in this case) you can barely see it and it's easy to cover up anyway in post. You can see the edges of the entire platform towards the end of the video, when the camera is pulling out. here's another recent video with the same technique, albeit the frame is visible, (mark 3:20) Ciao.
