Yep, I have the first version. I can get new cells by Varta that will work or I can use Nimh batteries. I just need to figure out how the holder comes apart.

I thought it might be like the 4008 but there were no holes under the leatherette. So I don't know what to do....

Hello, New guy here so I apologize if this has been answered before, but I couldn't find the answer. I have a s2008 camera with a dead battery. I want to recell and am wondering how you open the battery plug? holder? to get to the cells inside. I have the old style holder with one contact on the bottom. Thanks much Brian
