I'm looking for some books that are common in film schools, or that are very good beginner level books to kind of get a jumpstart on my studies. Any suggestions? I've heard that Cinematography by Blain Brown and also Motion Picture and Video Lighting, Is that true?

I'm looking for intro level books that are common in film schools to get a head start before I actually get up to that level, anyone have recommendations?
