  1. Hola! I have a modest collection of Super 8 & 8mm cameras but my favourite is my Nikon R10. Taken for granted now with it's fantastic manual controls and build quality ( Did I mention it's a Nikon?) Anyway, I have been going through some of my cameras that I feel would benefit someone else starting out. My problem is this: My Sankyo Sound XL-600S - Looks great, powers up and runs on 18 & 24 fps. Obviously the sound aspect of this camera is no longer utilised but it should still capture images. So I have had a little play and have come to the conclusion the CdS sensor could be on the blink. The light meter is reacting to light but seems to be working the opposite of what it should. In AUTO the needle strays to the RIGHT (over) after it started from far LEFT (under). In MANUAL you cannot move the needle lass than half way across the range. I have attached a photo of the view through the lens. I also have a Sanyko XL 40S is this is metering perfectly so I am fully aware of how this system should work on the XL series. Any help on this would be gratefully received! T
