  1. There is a shot in the opening scene that is absolutely amazing. Its the one where the only thing you see is crowded four lane freeway. Ever since I saw the film 20 years ago been intrigued by this specific shot. Soooo Im in LA right now and want to go there. Does anyone know where this is? I even brought my 16mm a-cam to try and recreate it!!!

    I wrote "fogged" haha..

And also i didnt tape the viewfinder for the top image only the bottom one with the mans head!

  3. Bringing back an old thread here. My film was fogged while shooting outside a while ago and I can see reflections/light in my video monitor coming from the viewfinder. In the photo I've taped the viewfinder because I wasnt sure if it actually was true I didn't have to cover it to not fog....... I aslo have like two shots where I forgot the tape and those are completly **(obscenity removed)**ed but most of the time I wanted to be safe. But maybe this thing only works if its night outside ?

SO.... Anyone had the same experience with their "DistantEye viewfinder"

  4. Thanks Aapo,

The idea is not to dive with the camera but the jump from the jetty might land me  like two meters under the surface. To be sure 2m is probably a good rule. And some sort of plastic bag was my idea as well. Its also my camera, if I break it its okay.. not that i want to but im willing to take a shot at making something myself ?

  5. Soo I want to jump in the water with my A-Cam and would love some tips on how to waterproof it before I do it. Im thinking some sort of plastic bag would work but i dont want to put too much poop in front of the lens and distort the image too much since I want the scene to start on the jetty. Ive attached a photo of the camera, not my photo but it shows the size of it!

  6. I recently bought this camera and just shot a test. The images didn't really turn out the way I was hoping. This being my first test ever with 16mm I have no idea how to troubleshoot this.

    Here are the specs:

    Camera: Ikonoskop A-Cam SP16

    Lens: Ikonoskop 9mm f/1.7

    Film: Kodak Vision3 50D

(Processing was done by Focus Film in Stockholm, Sweden. They are pros and Kodak distributors so im sure they did everything right)

I shot two different frame rates, 25 and 37,5. The first clip I think looks sped up and the second two looks fine. The thing is that I am almost 100% sure I shot the first clip 25 fps and the second one 37,5. I did also not expect the camera to not work and therefore unfortunately didnt do a more accurate test than this...

So does anyone have an idea of what could've happened?
