Greetings.
I'm interested in Filmmaking. It began when I made a short film several years ago, but I never went any further with filmmaking. Earlier this year, I landed this great job as a Legal Videographer. It's pretty much a straight shot to the witness throughout the entire videotaping, but I enjoy it. I also enjoy the editing afterwards.
Right now, I'm going to school for what exactly I am not sure. I'm playing it safe and attaining an A.A. for now. Afterwards, I'm really not sure what I plan on doing. I'd really like to be involved with film, though.
I'm working on a story, even though I would just like to start shooting anything that catches my eye, I want to have a message and capture it.
I'd like to know how you got into this profession or what you are doing to get into it, if you know of any good books that could better familiarize me with the art of Cinematography, and any advice you might have on creating short films. Did you always know this is what you wanted to do or did you sort of fall into it unintentionally, realizing later on that you had a nitch for it. Inspiration is always appreciated.
