  1. Hello! In the image attached, the light must backlight the person and the product on the table (hamburguer). The problem is that the shaft is also hiding her face. What are the reasons it happened and what should be done to solve that ?
  2. Hello, I will shot a videoclip soon with a Red Komodo and Arri Ultra Prime lens. The lighting is similar to the following references. The main caracter is lit but everything around must be dark. So if I expose for the person, then the IRE levels of the darkness area on false color are 0 o less than that on set, would it be noisy? What should I do not to get a noisy dark area?
  3. What is it call the time of the day at these shots below (the street ones)? Because the sunlight is warmer and lower in the sky, I see some people referring to it as golden hour but I though golden hour was only when the sky is warm and the sky has orange tones. (such as the last photo attached)
  4. Hello, I´ve read different explanations about upstage lighting that got me very confused. The first one says that upstage lighting comes from theater. Applying it to cinema it would be something like the first diagram below. The second explanation divides the scene differently. So when a DP talks about lighting upstage, which one of them are they refering to ? By looking at the diagrams, the first one make it seems like upstage lighting it is using edge or backlight. And the second one anything between edge, sidelight and 3/4.
