  1. I am interested in buying a 16mm camera to shoot a documentary but there are so many out there I am a little worried. I don't know that much about cameras. Which manufacturer should I avoid and why? Who makes the best cameras? Is the Bolex Rex 5, Beaulieu R-16, Arri 16 BL or Canon Scoopic any good? Which manufacturer still services their older models? Which camera has tons of accessories available in the secondary market at an affordable price?
  2. Hi Nathan I really appreciate the help. I was able to download a copy for my camera using google.com. I was using the wrong search engine (dogpile.com). There is a lot of information in google.com for this camera. It really helped me to fix my camera's problem. It refused to turn on. Being new to the Arri S I didn't know it had a kill switch built into the camera. When the film rides high the camera turns off then it needs to be reset. Take care Nathan. Happy shooting!
  3. I need the cable for the power supply and the power supply. I also need the owner's manual, a 400ft. magazine and a variable speed motor. If you have any of these email me at tomchrisjohn@aol.com. I am located in Chicago
  4. Where can I get a copy of the Arri 16S owner's manual? Is there one somewhere in Cinematography.com? Is there a link I can go to to get one?
