  1. Hello Joerg & Matthew,

Thanks for the responses. I didn't get full NDs because I am using Sony FX9 with variable END & also have the Polarpro 8,16 & 64 82mm filters for my Sony A7SIII.

I got the following filters after I posted this.

    Schneider 4 x 5.65" 2mm Indigo True-Streak Filter
    Schneider 4 x 5.65" 2mm Blue True-Streak Filter
    Schneider 4 x 5.65" 2mm Clear True-Streak Filter
    Schneider 4 x 5.65" True-Streak Rainbow Filter
    Schneider 4 x 5.65" True-Streak Confetti Filter
    Schneider 4 x 5.65" Rhodium® FSND 0.3 Soft Edge Horizontal
    Schneider 4 x 5.65" Rhodium® FSND 0.6 Soft Edge Horizontal
    Schneider 4 x 5.65" Rhodium® FSND 0.9 Soft Edge Horizontal
    Schneider 4 x 5.65" Rhodium® FSND 1.2 Soft Edge Horizontal
    Schneider 4 x 5.65" Rhodium® FSND 1.5 Soft Edge Horizontal

Now I've planned to get the diopters as you suggested but not the 138mm but the lindsey optics on

Lindsey Optics Tray Mount Close-Up Lens Diopter Set

Rotating Split Field Diopters for deep focus cinematography (lindseyoptics.com)

    Lindsey Optics Rota-Pol for cinematography

I'm planned to get all the above filters (11 of them) & I think this should complete my filter toolkit for around majority of my work planned. Could you let me know whether there is anything I have skipped beyond the rota pola, diopters or split diopters.

    Thanks again for your responses.

    Paul

  3. Hello everyone,

I have a set of Sony GMs with AF on them but looking to get a proper Cine lens with manual focus which has a decent character to it. So I have boiled down the following lens sets and wanted to get some feedback from any experienced using them and also with cameras like Sony FX9 or A7SIII. I have never used any of these sets on my cameras or have access to them either to try them at all.

    1. Xeen CF Prime Set (16, 24, 35, 50, 85)
    2. DZO Film Vespid Prime set (16, 25, 35, 50, 75, 90, 100, 125)
    3. Ironglass Soviet MKII Rehoused Lens Set (20, 28, 37, 58, 85, 135)

I don't want to rent everyday to learn so that's why I wanted to pick up 1set so that I have a combination on AF + Manual lens set for my passion, learning or potential paid work.

Appreciate your inputs to nail down to 1 set so that I can get it as a starting point for my cinematography learning and passion purposes.

    Thanks

    Paul

  4. Hello,

I have 3 cameras - Sony FX9, A7SIII & A7III. I'm trying to figure our is there a particular standard for rod support for ensuing I dont invest again in rod supports and accessories.

I have 2 cartoni fluid heads with euro style plates. I've been hunting for a stable, reliable & futureproofed quick release base plate system with either 15 LWS or 19 Studio. So my question which rod standard to go for or everyone is going towards.

From a equipment standpoint it would be whole 9 yards (mattebox, wireless FIZ follow focus, vmount, teredek, monitor & d-box)

    Appreciate your inputs.

  5. Hello everyone,

I saw some great tutorials about FX9. Finally I bought one & having a tough time to setup the live streaming.

I followed your tutorial for Z90 but there is a menu called Streaming. Mind my lack of knowledge. this is the first time I'm using a Sony professional series camera. I'm coming from A7III and got the A7SIII as well.

I followed the instructions from here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jvrh...el=ingenioustv
Tried trouble shooting from the manual here - https://pro.sony/support/res/manuals.../50252871M.pdf

Still couldn't make it work. Can anyone guide me or create a step by step guide or video for Setup for “Live Streaming" on FX9.

    Thanks,
    Paul

  6. Hello,

I just learnt about diffusion filters & how it can create a unique look. After extensive research, I came across the Schneider 4 x 5.65" Hollywood Black Magic 1/4 Filter which I'm planning to get but also stumbled upon the new Radiant Soft features from Schneider.

My question is that has anyone used the new Schneider Radiant Soft on productions or for Youtube videos. I found some videos but nothing is showing a clear strength comparison or reviews for this filter.

Could you let me know what are your thoughts & which one would be suitable for indoor or outdoor environments. I'm shooting on A7SIII & FX9 with either the 85mm or 40mm.
