I completely agree too...drunk audience is far more appreciative...[from my own personal experience :rolleyes: ) ..any ways..I'm looking for some handy tips regarding shooting on Dvx...telecast format:DVD on a 10ft screen..ideally i wd like to shoot 25fps...though i have shot on PD170[ i want to figure my way out a lil quickly with your help :D]..i find this to be a better camera... Really appreciate ur Help.. :)

Hi Everyone! i have been contracted to shoot a para normal series...we plan to use infra red imaging devices to capture situations in zero light...all i know about IR is it falls below the visible spectrum..can some one guide me on IR cameras and various parametres involved in shooting IR

$150,000 is a lot of money specially for in india ...in this amount of money we can DI nearly 3 films....that to a 2K scan grade and film out.(which seems like a dram to me right now) In India DI is still in infancy stage,but it's looking up."Producers" still (and obviously) weigh that extra cost to no substantial value addition..so my fear is low technical standards will again become benchmark ....but something is better than nothing. B)

is it possible for you to quantify it in terms of percentage??

I have shot a film os super16...my post house is suggesting me to grade the film on spirit..take a HD D5 out..confirm the edit on Fire...send for film out. is this route good enough? :unsure:

:unsure: Is there any kind(or possibilities) of image resolution degeneration in a spirit 2k to D5 transfer ......? ROUTE A Grade negative on a spirit2K ...take a D5 out....confirm edit on fire using D5 master......send for film out. ROUTE B Scan negative on spirit2k.....grade on lustre.....confirm edit on lustre/fire....send for film out. How bad is A vs. B???
