  1. Hello everyone, I'm about to shoot a project (i'll be 2nd camera operator) and I'm gonna use a Arri 16 SR II, and it's gonna be handheld all the time. I was wondering if you could advise me any particular accessories (handles mostly) that would make my like a little bit easier :) Thanks in advance :) (I hope the answer is not in a topic i didn't see ;) )
  2. Hi everyone. and thanks for your participation ! ;) So, after a couple of tests with the fx team, we are not gonna have any actual window on set. And we will fake the reflection in post. We realised that, it doesn't matter that much to have a good reflection of the people in the window. A small camera covering the other side will do the trick. It's more important to have some lights (fake) reflecting to have the illusion that a window is here. thanks again ;) PS : will try to post some captures when we are done.
  3. Hello everybody, I've been doing some research about having a greenscreen behind a window. I got some useful information, but i would need some details :) Here's the thing, we are shooting a viral for a fast-food restaurant. The scene is about two people eating their meal in front of this big window, and things happening outside. There are four differents scenes for now (four virals, four *weird* things happening outside the window). And we want the actions of the two people eating to be exactly the same. So we are planing on shooting them on a greenscreen in a studio, and then shoot what's happening outside on location. The thing I'm particularly worried about is the reflection of the two people in the window, cause they are sitting really close to it, and it's night outside. Considering the window *is* our framing (we don't see the borders) , it has to look good. If we have the window in the studio, how can we key the reflection ? as it's see-through, we are gonna see the greenscreen behind. And if we have the window on location only (or no window), without the reflection of the people, it's just gonna look like there is noting... and look weird :) do you have any idea to save us ? :) thank you ;) PS : we are shooting hdv, xl h1 ...
  4. Thanks everyone for your advices ! Things are changing in the production, and the scene will be shot in studio... so I can finally have quite a powerful light, I'll have good flexibility with aperture. Indeed, the bag is gonna be on a bed, close to a window, probably on its right. And I might use a white board on a C-Stand above the bag. I can't wait to see the bag itself for sure. I ask not to find a backpack with black inside ;) thanks again ! PS : yeah, Prague is nice ;) I've been there for a year now and really like it :D
  5. Hello everyone. I'm new on this wonderful forum, so as a quick introduction, my name is cedric larvoire, i'm living in prague and I'm working as a ... DP :) we are shooting a couple of commercials in the next days, and some of them are quite challenging. I'd like to know your opinion on this : in one shot, the camera is moving towards a backpack where a girl is putting a lot of objects into. We have to see the objects inside the backpack. I already have a softlight position above, but i wonder if it is gonna be enough. (the ambiance is morning light, so the light can't be too powerful). Some people suggested me to use micro/miniflo, but i'm afraid it might look very ... artificial. do you have any ideas ? thanks ! Cedric
